What is a Beermat?

Well firstly, a genuine beermat is manufactured using a highly absorbent pulp-board substrate. This ensures that when used in pubs, bars and clubs, the beermat remains a fully functional tool that easily absorbs liquids and when dry can be re-used many times for the same purpose. The quality of the board is also critical factor given the final design will be printed directly onto the board. As a consequence, cheap board will be evidenced through a poor print, simply because cheap board in not white!

But everyone calls them something different...!

Yes, depending on which country your are in and occasionally what industry you work in, there are many descriptions used to describe beermats. First of all, the word 'beermat' can be depicted as beer mat or beermat, they are also called coasters, dripmats (also spelt drip mats) and pulp board coasters, mats or beermats. No wonder everyone is confused! The bottom line is a genuine beermat (yes this is our favoured description) is manufactured using the best quality pulp board, which is then overprinted with the customers preferred advertising message. It doesn't really matter what name is used to describe the product provided this anomaly is not used to sell you a sub-standard product. if you want to be certain that you are getting the best, then talk to Thirsty's.
